The Volvo Penta IPS Joystick uses the engine and drive units in programmed synchronization to perform each maneuver.

Joystick - change direction Boat - direction changing 1. You can do all your slow-speed maneuvering with the joystick. Move in any direction you wish – and it's so much easier.
Joystick - rotate Boat - rotating 2. Twist the top to rotate. Combine it with any other move to compensate for wind or current.
Joystick - sideways Boat - side to side 3. Push the joystick to port or starboard and your boat goes sideways. Even "impossible" berths
are now accessible.
